This is the second short story I'm reading this year and tbh, I'm beginning to develop a liking for short stories. I love the diversity of representation of societal happenings they bring to the fore and how relatable these stories can be. From infidelity, ritualism, gangs, failed family system, Drug dealers, unemployment, failed government system, name it.
I also think short stories are creative ways of saying "we do not really need novels" because why do you I have to read 200plus pages when I can enjoy and get the whole gist in 24 pages?π
Plus, in a month, I could either read a book of 230 pages or a short story of 296 pages with 10 stories and I wouldn't be lying if I said I read 10 books in a month.ππ
Of creative works of different individuals, the book showed the various realities of living in Lagos and a proper review would be to review each work of the contributors but you know what? Let's meauveee.πI enjoyed reading the stories in this book.π
Lastly, am I the only one who wants to see more stories written about Ibadan, different cities? I'm getting tired, jealous of Lagos this, Lagos that abegπ
Cheers to more Readiscovery fammπ
