A collection of 18 stories, Voice of America is a book I will refer to as possessing dual citizenship (America and Nigeria) and throughout the book, we see the author's constant effort to show a link between both countries and of course, America always emerge as the best of place to live (even though sometimes, we are too blinded to see their faults)

E.C Osondu's creative hilariousness wrapped alongside his eyes for details exposed what the stories, trials, situations of the majority of an average Nigerian is. From a woman struggling to have a child of her own to a child, hoping to one day have a roof over his head and a family to call his own, to a working father effort to lay a strong moral background for his wards, to the intersection between trials, superstitions and one's spirituality.

Every character takes us back on a journey to a situation we have experienced either as victims or not, or that we have heard happen to people.

With every character, E.C Osondu brings us closer to happenings around us and though, of different personalities, the characters formed an image of a particular place and the people there
